Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has announced great news for students, with the launch of the Pink and Black E-Bike Scheme with zero down payment. Previously, the scheme was available only to residents of Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, and Bahawalpur, but now the scheme has been launched for students across Punjab. Students from all across Punjab can apply for this scheme.
Here, we are going to discuss the important documents required to submit an application for the scheme introduced by the CM Punjab Government.
⚠️ Important Note: No Criminal Record
You must not have any criminal record in your name. The Electric Bike Scheme that was started in 2025 by CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz and the new Electric Bike Scheme introduced in 2026 have the same policy that the applicant must not have any criminal record.
اہم نوٹ: کریمنل ریکارڈ نہ ہونے کی شرط
آپ کے نام کوئی کریمنل ریکارڈ نہیں ہونا چاہیے۔ الیکٹرک بائک اسکیم جو کہ 2025 میں شروع کی گئی تھی، سی ایم پنجاب مریم نواز کی طرف سے اس اسکیم میں اور ابھی جو 2026 میں الیکٹرک بائک اسکیم لائی گئی ہے، ان دونوں میں یہ پالیسی سیم ہے کہ آپ کا کوئی کریمنل ریکارڈ نہیں ہونا چاہیے۔
1. Driving License or Learner’s Permit
As in the previous 2024 scheme, where a driving license was made an important requirement, a motorcycle driving license or a valid motorcycle learner’s permit is also very important for the 2026 E-Bike Scheme. This condition has still been kept in place and has not been changed.
If you have a CNIC but do not have a license, you may not be eligible for this scheme. Always remember this before submitting your application.
The previous official student bike scheme also included a valid CNIC and a valid driving/learner’s license as part of the eligibility requirements.
ایک پائ اسکیم 2024 میں جس طرح آپ کا ڈرائیونگ لائسنس ضروری قرار دیا گیا تھا، اس بار بھی 2026 کی ای بائیک اسکیم کے لیے موٹر سائیکل کا ڈرائیونگ لائسنس یا موٹر سائیکل کا درست لرنر پرمٹ ہونا بہت ضروری ہے۔ یہ شرط ابھی بھی سیم رکھی گئی ہے، اس کو تبدیل نہیں کیا گیا۔ اگر آپ کے پاس شناختی کارڈ ہے اور آپ کے پاس لائسنس نہیں ہے تو آپ اس اسکیم کے لیے اہل نہیں ہو سکتے۔ درخواست دینے سے پہلے یہ بات ہمیشہ یاد رکھیں۔

2. CNIC Requirement
- You must have your original CNIC when submitting your application.
- The most important thing is that if you enter even one digit incorrectly in your CNIC number, it can create problems during document verification.
- Enter your name exactly as it appears on your CNIC. Check your CNIC number carefully again. Your father’s name should be exactly the same as the name mentioned on your ID card. Your date of birth should also be entered exactly as mentioned on your CNIC.
In addition, you should enter your home address exactly as it appears on your CNIC.
درخواست دیتے وقت آپ کے پاس اصل شناختی کارڈ ہونا بہت ضروری ہے۔ سب سے اہم بات یہ ہے کہ شناختی کارڈ نمبر میں اگر آپ ایک ہندسہ بھی غلط لکھ دیتے ہیں تو آپ کی ڈاکومنٹ ویریفکیشن میں مسئلہ بن جائے گا۔ نام شناختی کارڈ کے مطابق لکھیں۔ شناختی کارڈ نمبر دوبارہ اچھی طرح سے چیک کر لیں۔ والد کا نام بالکل وہی ہونا چاہیے جو آپ کے آئی ڈی کارڈ پر درج ہے۔ تاریخ پیدائش بھی آپ نے بالکل شناختی کارڈ والی ہی رکھنی ہے۔ اس کے علاوہ آپ نے اپنے گھر کا پتہ وہی لکھنا ہے جو آپ کے شناختی کارڈ پر موجود ہے۔
3. Mobile Number and Verification
- A mobile number and email address are very important for the new online application.
- Provide a valid email address and also provide a mobile number that you have complete access to.
4. Helmet and Safety Equipment
Under the previous Electric Bike Scheme 2025, helmets and safety equipment were also provided with the bikes, while under the 2026 E-Bike Scheme, you will also receive a helmet free of cost.
5. Student Card
You should have a student card, which is provided to students by their educational institutions. Students studying at universities and schools will need to upload a photograph of their student card.
The student card serves as an identity confirming that the applicant is currently studying at a particular educational institution.
6. Passport-Size Photograph
You should have a recent passport-size photograph of yourself.
Under the government’s 2025 scheme, employees were also eligible to apply and were required to provide documents such as bank account details and salary slips. However, under this scheme, only students will apply, Must Provide valid proof of income Your Parents and provide a bank account or salary slip.

Punjab’s official Transport Department 2026 documentation confirms the government’s e-bike initiative and describes financial support including government assistance toward equity, interest costs, and registration charges.
⚠️ Very Important Note
There are some differences between the government’s current bike scheme and the Electric Bike Scheme 2025 that are very important for you to understand.
The Punjab Government has introduced an interest-free installment plan again. According to the latest government announcement, the government had announced a subsidy of Rs. 70,000 per bike. For students, a down payment of Rs. 14,000 and a monthly installment of approximately Rs. 2,100 had been discussed, but later, in the September 2026 new phase, the payment condition was changed.
Under the new condition, the down payment has been completely removed, and the applicant will have to pay only an installment of approximately Rs. 3,000 per month.
In addition, the Punjab Government is providing approximately Rs. 90,000 subsidy per bike.
Note: The final financial figures of the new 2026 scheme should be verified through the latest official notification before submitting an application.
حکومت پنجاب نے دوبارہ بلا سود اقساط کا منصوبہ پیش کیا ہے۔ تازہ سرکاری اعلان کے مطابق حکومت فی بائک 70 ہزار روپے سبسڈی دے رہا ہے، کا اعلان کر چکی تھی۔ طلبہ کے لیے 14 ہزار روپے ڈاؤن پیمنٹ، تقریباً 2100 روپے ماہانہ کی بات کی گئی تھی، لیکن بعد میں ستمبر 2026 کے نئے مرحلے میں ادائیگی کی شرط تبدیل کر دی گئی، جس میں ڈاؤن پیمنٹ بالکل ختم کر دی گئی اور تقریباً تین ہزار روپے ماہانہ کی ان کو صرف قسط کرنی ہوگی۔ اس کے علاوہ پنجاب حکومت ہر ایک بائک پر تقریباً 90 ہزار روپے کی سبسڈی دے رہی ہے۔
CM Punjab E-Bike Scheme Registration Fee
Under the new Electric Bike Scheme announced by the government, expenses such as insurance, registration, and markup have been completely waived.
For example, the student does not have to pay the full price of the bike at once. Instead, with the government’s subsidy and interest-free financing facility, the student will have to pay only an installment of approximately Rs. 3,000 per month.
- According to the latest September 2026 report, these installments will have to be paid over approximately three years.
- The government has increased the number of current E-Bikes to approximately 100,000, compared with the thousands of bikes provided under the previous bike scheme.
- Under the previous 2024 BOP scheme, a program for 20,000 bikes was introduced, including 19,000 petrol bikes and 1,000 E-Bikes. The E-Bikes were available to students in five major cities.

E-Bike Selection, Balloting and Balloting Result
The government has set October 4, 2026 as the last date for this scheme.
Once the application process is completed, a date will be announced for the balloting result.
Some people are saying that the scheme will follow a first-come, first-served policy, but this is not the case. Government officials have stated that computerized balloting will be conducted through which eligible students will be provided E-Bikes.
The previous official BOP information also stated that if the number of applications exceeded the number of available motorcycles, balloting could be conducted and a list of successful applicants would be announced.
